“0 to Thirteen”

As your life ticking slows to be faint
And on your breath time puts a restraint,
Your final note is cast to the wind
While you run from the parting of soul and skin.
The chill in the dense air slows your beating heart
‘Till cold hands tear you and life apart.
Though to the world your soul tries to cling
An end to you life will surely bring

The wandering Fool is not a fool
Rather the blind side of life’s dual.
He is the child of senseless starts,
An innocent who embraces what time parts.
His companion Err yaps at the advance,
The cliff of fault lies beyond his glance.
In the sky his newborn eyes remain,
As the Chariot flies through his plain.

The phoenix Death is made of ashes
When a life bond your free soul cashes.
From him comes a new reality:
Your spirit’s journey through immortality.
His scythe severs old skin from deific bones
And brightens your sight with newer tones.
If you then follow the Hierophant
In the stars your roots he’ll replant.

To fear the beginning of your end
And run from the adventure you fend
Cannot make this lone end diminish.
This sleep you were born for is not your finish.
When one path ends we must start to build our own
Rather than hide as we are so prone.
It is then that you must prove your worth
At the hour of your life’s rebirth.
